The Ards Anti Social Behaviour Team and Ards PSNI identified adults purchasing alcohol for minors as a particular problem in the area and decided to create a publicity campaign to highlight the situation. A sensitive and emotive subject, the brief called for delicate handling in order to deliver the message in a forceful way while not alienating the young target audience. A bus back campaign was recommended by TDP Advertising as the most cost efficient method of delivering the message in the Ards council area. The creative execution was both thought provoking and confrontational asking the consumer a direct question and challenging them to think again about alcohol and under 18’s. The image was brilliantly simple and shocking in its idea and creates just the right impact for this difficult social problem. |
